Hydro Jetting Services in Central Maryland

When Snaking Isn't Enough, We Bring the Pressure

If your drains keep clogging no matter how many times they’ve been snaked, the problem isn’t the clog. It’s what’s left on the pipe walls after the snake pulls out. Hydro jetting uses high-pressure water to clean the entire interior of the pipe, removing grease, mineral scale, tree roots, and buildup that drain snakes leave behind. Bailey Bros. provides hydro jetting for commercial and residential customers across Harford County, Baltimore County, Anne Arundel County, Howard County, and Baltimore City. Save $350 on hydro jetting this season.

Why Drains Keep Clogging After Snaking

A drain snake punches a hole through the blockage and restores flow. But it only clears a path through the center of the pipe. Grease, soap residue, mineral scale, and organic buildup remain stuck to the pipe walls. Within weeks or months, that buildup narrows the pipe again and the clog returns. It’s the most common reason homeowners and business owners call for drain cleaning on the same line multiple times a year.

Hydro jetting solves the problem differently. A specialized nozzle delivers water at up to 4,000 PSI through the full diameter of the pipe, stripping the walls clean and flushing everything downstream. The result is a pipe that’s restored to near-original capacity, not just a hole through the middle of the blockage. According to the EPA, fats, oils, and grease are the leading cause of sewer blockages, responsible for 47 percent of reported blockages nationwide. Hydro jetting is the most effective method for removing FOG buildup from commercial and residential sewer lines.

Bailey Bros. provides hydro jetting for restaurants, commercial kitchens, office buildings, apartment communities, and residential homes throughout the Greater Baltimore area, the I-95 corridor, and the Chesapeake Bay region. Financing is available through Wisetack for larger drain and sewer projects.

Signs You Need Hydro Jetting

The Same Drain Keeps Clogging

If you've had the same drain snaked two or more times in the past year, snaking isn't solving the root problem. Buildup on the pipe walls is narrowing the line and trapping debris in the same spot. Hydro jetting removes the buildup so the drain stays clear significantly longer.

Multiple Drains Are Slow at the Same Time

When several fixtures drain slowly at once, the blockage is in the main drain or sewer line, not at individual fixtures. Main line buildup from grease, sediment, or tree root intrusion requires hydro jetting to clear. A camera inspection confirms the location and cause before we jet.

Sewer Gas Smell Inside the Building

Persistent sewer odor inside a home or commercial building often means a partial blockage is trapping waste and gas in the line. The buildup creates a restriction that allows gas to back up into the building through drain connections. Hydro jetting clears the restriction and eliminates the odor source.

Restaurant Drains Back Up During Service

Commercial kitchen drains accumulate grease faster than any other drain in your building. Floor drains, sink drains, and dishwasher lines all push FOG into the system daily. If drains back up during busy service hours, hydro jetting on a scheduled basis prevents the backups that cost you money.

Gurgling Sounds From Drains or Toilets

Gurgling happens when air is trapped in the drain line by a partial blockage. As water tries to pass the obstruction, it displaces trapped air back through nearby fixtures. The sound is a warning that the line is narrowing and a full blockage is developing.

Mature Trees Near Sewer Lines

Tree roots seek moisture and can penetrate sewer line joints, cracks, and old connections. Once inside, they grow and trap debris, creating recurring blockages. Hydro jetting cuts through root intrusion and clears the line. For recurring root problems, we recommend jetting on a scheduled cycle combined with a camera inspection to monitor regrowth.

Hydro Jetting Services We Provide

Commercial Hydro Jetting

Restaurants, commercial kitchens, office buildings, apartment communities, and industrial properties all generate drain buildup that standard snaking can’t fully remove. We jet commercial drain and sewer lines at pressures up to 4,000 PSI, clearing grease, scale, and debris from the full pipe interior. Adding jetting to a commercial maintenance plan prevents the recurring backups that disrupt your business.

Residential Hydro Jetting

Homes with recurring kitchen drain clogs, slow main lines, or tree root intrusion benefit from hydro jetting the same way commercial properties do. We adjust the pressure and nozzle selection based on your pipe material, age, and condition. Older cast iron and clay pipes are safe for jetting when properly assessed.

Sewer Main Line Jetting

Your main sewer line carries everything from the house to the municipal sewer or septic system. When this line clogs or slows, every drain in the building is affected. We jet main sewer lines to remove grease, roots, sediment, and mineral buildup. If the camera reveals structural damage, sewer repair or replacement is the next step.

Grease Line Jetting for Restaurants

The drain lines between your kitchen fixtures and your grease trap, and between the grease trap and the sewer, accumulate grease that standard cleaning methods leave behind. Hydro jetting these lines on a monthly or quarterly schedule keeps your kitchen compliant and your drains flowing. Save $350 on hydro jetting this season.

Why Hydro Jetting Outperforms Snaking

Cleans the Entire Pipe, Not Just the Center

A drain snake opens a path through the blockage. Hydro jetting strips the buildup from the entire pipe wall, restoring the line to near-original capacity. The difference is a drain that stays clear for months instead of weeks.

Removes Grease That Snakes Leave Behind

Grease coats pipe walls and hardens over time. A snake passes through it but doesn’t remove it. Hydro jetting emulsifies the grease with high-pressure water and flushes it out of the system completely. For restaurants and commercial kitchens, this is the only method that truly prevents recurring grease blockages.

Cuts Through Tree Roots

Specialized jetting nozzles cut through root intrusion inside sewer lines. While jetting doesn’t prevent roots from returning, it clears the line completely and buys significantly more time between service calls than snaking. Paired with regular camera inspections, scheduled jetting manages root problems long-term.

Safe for Most Pipe Materials

We assess your pipe material and condition before jetting. Modern PVC, ABS, and cast iron pipes handle hydro jetting without issue. Older clay, Orangeburg, or severely deteriorated pipes may require a different approach. A camera inspection before jetting ensures we know what we’re working with.

Saves Money Over Repeated Snaking

If you’re paying for drain snaking two or three times a year on the same line, those costs add up. One hydro jetting service that keeps the line clear for six months or longer often costs less than multiple snake visits. Our current special saves you $350 this season.

What Hydro Jetting Service Includes

Every hydro jetting job from Bailey Bros. follows the same process to make sure the pipe is clean, the problem is solved, and your system is protected:

Before we jet, we run a sewer camera inspection to identify the blockage type, location, and the condition of the pipe. This step is critical. Jetting a pipe with a structural failure, a collapse, or a belly can cause more harm than good. The camera tells us exactly what we’re dealing with.

Nozzle Selection and Pressure Setting

We select the nozzle and pressure based on the pipe diameter, material, and the type of buildup. Grease requires a different approach than tree roots. Scale requires a different approach than sediment. Pressure is adjusted for older pipes to clean effectively without risking damage.

High-Pressure Cleaning

The jetting nozzle delivers water at up to 4,000 PSI through the full length of the affected pipe. Forward-facing jets cut through blockages. Rear-facing jets scour the pipe walls and pull the nozzle through the line, flushing debris downstream to the sewer or cleanout.

Post-Jetting Camera Verification

After jetting, we run the camera through the line again to confirm the pipe is fully cleared and inspect for any underlying issues the buildup may have been hiding, such as cracks, offsets, or root damage that may need future attention.

Hydro Jetting Questions

How much does hydro jetting cost?

The cost depends on the pipe size, length, location, and the severity of the buildup. We provide upfront pricing after a camera inspection. Our current special saves you $350 this season. Financing is available through Wisetack.

For recurring clogs, grease buildup, and tree root intrusion, yes. Snaking opens a path through the blockage but leaves buildup on the pipe walls. Hydro jetting cleans the entire pipe interior. Snaking is still effective for one-time, simple clogs where buildup isn’t the underlying cause.

It depends on the pipe material and condition. We always run a camera inspection before jetting to assess the pipe. Modern PVC, ABS, and sound cast iron pipes handle jetting without issue. Severely deteriorated clay, Orangeburg, or collapsed sections may need repair instead of jetting.

It depends on usage. Restaurant kitchen lines may need jetting monthly or quarterly. Residential main lines with tree root issues may need jetting annually. Homes with no recurring problems may never need it. We recommend a frequency based on what the camera inspection shows.

Yes. Specialized root-cutting nozzles cut through root intrusion inside the pipe and flush the debris out. Jetting doesn’t prevent roots from returning, but it clears the line completely and lasts longer than snaking. Scheduled jetting combined with camera inspections manages the problem long-term.

Both. We provide hydro jetting for residential homes, restaurants, commercial buildings, and industrial properties. The equipment, nozzle, and pressure are adjusted based on the pipe size, material, and the type of buildup.

Our equipment operates at up to 4,000 PSI. The actual pressure used on your line depends on the pipe material, diameter, and condition. We adjust the pressure for each job to clean effectively without risking damage to the pipe.

Yes. We’re currently offering $350 off hydro jetting this season. You can combine this with our commercial maintenance plans for ongoing savings. Call (443) 787-5995 or book online.
