Pasadena's Local Plumbing Experts

Peninsula Plumbing for Waterfront and Inland Homes

Pasadena stretches along the Chesapeake Bay and Patapsco River on one of the most water-surrounded communities in Anne Arundel County. That means plumbing here deals with higher groundwater, waterfront humidity, and homes that have been standing since the post-war building boom. Bailey Bros. serves Pasadena homeowners with same-day appointments, 24/7 emergency service, and upfront pricing.

Serving Pasadena, Lake Shore, and Riviera Beach

Our shop is at 2714 Pulaski Highway in Edgewood, about 22 miles north of Pasadena via I-97 and Mountain Road. Pasadena covers over 16 square miles of northern Anne Arundel County along the western shore of the Chesapeake Bay. The community includes the neighborhoods of Pasadena, Lake Shore, and Riviera Beach, all connected by Mountain Road and bordered by the Patapsco River to the east and Glen Burnie to the west.

Most of Pasadena’s housing was built during the post-World War II suburban expansion from the 1940s through the 1960s, with additional development continuing through the 1980s and 1990s. That puts much of the community’s plumbing at 40 to 80 years of service. Waterfront and near-waterfront homes face additional challenges from groundwater, humidity, and the corrosion that comes with living near the bay. We handle both the age-related plumbing issues and the water-related conditions that make Pasadena distinct.

Our team is led by a licensed Master Plumber and Master Gas Fitter with 28 years of experience. We’re licensed, bonded, and insured under Maryland License #74826. Financing is available through Wisetack for larger plumbing projects.

Plumbing Services in Pasadena

Drain Cleaning & Sewer Repair

Clogged drains, slow drains, sewer camera inspections, and sewer line repair for Pasadena homes. Decades-old sewer lines in the original post-war neighborhoods are prone to root intrusion, settling, and cast iron deterioration. Save $350 on hydro jetting this season.

Water Heater Installation & Repair

Traditional and tankless water heater installation, repair, and replacement. Pasadena's bay-area humidity and hard water cause water heaters to corrode and scale faster than inland communities. Save $200 on installation or $400 on a tankless upgrade this spring.

Emergency Plumbing

Burst pipes, sewer backups, gas leaks, and flooding. We provide 24/7 emergency plumbing to Pasadena, Lake Shore, and Riviera Beach. Call (443) 787-5995.

Sump Pump Services

Pasadena's peninsula geography and high water table make sump pumps critical for many homes. We install, repair, and replace sump pumps and battery backup systems. If your basement takes on water during storms or high tides, call before the next one.

General Plumbing Repairs

Faucet repair, toilet repair and installation, garbage disposal replacement, shower and tub repair, and outdoor spigot service. The everyday plumbing work that keeps Pasadena homes running. Most repairs completed the same visit.

What Pasadena Homeowners Should Know

1940s Through 1960s Homes With Aging Plumbing

Pasadena’s residential growth surged after World War II as returning veterans and workers from nearby Baltimore built homes along the peninsula. Much of this housing dates to the 1940s through 1960s, with galvanized steel supply lines, cast iron drain stacks, and original sewer connections that are 60 to 80 years old. If your home was built in this era, the plumbing behind the walls may be the cause of low pressure, discolored water, and recurring drain issues.

Water on Three Sides Affects Your Plumbing

Pasadena is bordered by the Patapsco River, the Chesapeake Bay, and various creeks and inlets. The water table is higher here than in inland communities, which means basements are more susceptible to moisture, underground pipes sit in wetter soil, and sump pumps work harder year-round. A battery backup sump pump system is essential for peninsula homes.

Businesses Along Mountain Road

Mountain Road is Pasadena’s primary commercial corridor, with restaurants, shops, and service businesses running the length of the community. We provide commercial drain cleaning, grease trap service, backflow testing, and commercial maintenance plans for businesses along this route.

Some Pasadena Properties Still Run on Well Water

While most of Pasadena is on municipal water, some older properties and homes on the outer edges of the peninsula still draw from private wells. Well water in this area commonly carries hardness, iron, and sediment that require filtration and softening to protect your plumbing and appliances.

Bay-Area Humidity and Hard Water Accelerate Pipe Wear

Pasadena homes deal with both hard municipal water that causes internal scale buildup and external humidity from the Chesapeake Bay that accelerates corrosion on exposed plumbing, water heater tanks, and metal fittings. A water softener addresses the internal scale. Regular maintenance catches the external corrosion before it becomes a failure.
